In the wake of the shocking unsealing of the Epstein files, one name that unexpectedly surfaced was none other than the legendary physicist, Stephen Hawking. The revelation sparked a storm on social media, and as the internet does, it responded with a barrage of merciless memes (seen the original post) targeting the renowned scientist.
As reported by the Miami Herald, the release of these documents follows a prolonged legal battle and brings to light previously undisclosed information. Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted s*x offender who died in prison in 2019, is at the center of this controversy.

In an email dated January 2015, Epstein communicated with his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, addressing a claim made by Virginia Giuffre. The claim alleged that Stephen Hawking had participated in an "underage orgy." According to People Magazine's report on the documents, Epstein discussed offering a reward to disprove Giuffre's allegations.
"You can issue a reward to any of Virginia's friends, acquaintances, family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false. The strongest is the Clinton dinner - associated with Bill Clinton and Hilary Clinton, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Steven Hawking participated in an underage orgy," Epstein wrote in the email.
