How not to leap into the new year (of 2024) like Deobra Redden who attacked Clark County District Judge, Mary Kay Holthus after she sentenced him to custody.
He Leaped Into A Longer Sentence!
What happened? On January 3rd, at Clark County District Court, Nevada, Deobra Redden, 30, was facing felony battery charges. Despite pleas from Deobra's attorney to have his client endure probation over custody, Judge Holthus stood firm and contested the latter.
But here's where things took a drastic turn. After Judge Holthus declared that Redden needed to "get a taste of something else," chaos erupted. Redden, infuriated by Judge Holthus' decision, leaped over the bench, launching an attack on her. The courtroom descended into absolute madness.
Sources, revealing the aftermath to 8 News Now, shared that Judge Holthus took a hit to the head but emerged from this harrowing ordeal relatively unscathed. Adding another layer to this incident, it's worth noting that Redden is no stranger to the legal system, having appeared in front of Judge Holthus before.
We can bet he's looking at a more lengthy prison sentence than the one he could have had before "leaping" into a madness.
