Playboy's still winning, but they might be rubbing it in for some, as the iconic brand mistakenly upset viewers after posting a series of images featuring censored images.
What Did Playboy Do On Instagram?
Ok, let's just make it very clear that Playboy didnt' do anything wrong... well at least not for us! The iconic pleasure, fashion, and lifestyle brand ruffled the feathers of social media users on Instagram after they posted "censored images" causing uproar. And yes you read that correctly: censored.
Playboy, which was founded in Chicago in 1953 by Hugh Hefner and associates, initially shared an image of a gorgeous brown-skinned model, Ana Foxxx. The image (seen in our earlier article), taken by Marlowe Holt, was later removed (and possibly removed by Instagram moderators), after it showed the beauty posing in a braless photoshoot with pixelated assets (including breasts and flower).
It's Just Business For Playboy, Right?
What was the issue? Users took offence at Instagram for not balancing privileges endured by its VIP users who can post material without worrying about moderators; the same VIPs who'll unlikely (never) feel the stress of appealing for a disabled account. Adding salt to injury, Playboy later posted two more images entailing pixelated assets which were met with similar uproar.
In a nutshell, Playboy caused thirst by posting seductive images and received praise. In the mix of that praise was criticism; frustrated view points implying that Instagram needs to adopt equality after an endless stream of content creators lost their profiles over material less dramatic (sexually suggestive).

On that note, we don't think that Playboy did anything wrong, and only wish that Instagram could be more lenient with "everyone" opposed to a special few.
