The new season of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 3 Season 2 is upon us, and it looks to be one of the most action-packed and exciting seasons yet with no building.
Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2
The new season of Fortnite Battle Royale (Chapter 3, Season 2) is titled "Resistance", and centres around the battle between the IO and The Seven. The trailer for the new season shows tanks and "cow catchers" being added to the game, and an array of new weapons and items, including upgrades and weapon attachments.
With the new season comes new changes, and this time it's a game-changer for long-time Fortnite fans. Building has been completely wiped out, meaning you can no longer use it as a means of cover. Instead, you now have an Overshield on top of your Shield and Health, something considered "your first line of defence".
Sweet! New Fortnite Movement Upgrades
Ever since the big changes of Fortnite Chapter 3 including the "flipping" of the map, Fortnite has continuously brought some new ways to fight. In this latest update, sprinting, mantling, and shoulder bashing have been added to the game, giving more options than before to smoke opps!
What is sprinting in Fortnite? Sprinting is the new default movement speed, and it's so fast that you'll be able to pocket whatever you're holding. Of course, you can't sprint forever, so a new sprint meter will tell you how much longer you can move at that pace.
What is mantling in Fortnite? Mantling is a new way to gain the high ground. If a surface is just a little too high for your jump, or a platform just a little too far for your landing, your hands can come into play and pull you up.
What is shoulder bashing in Fortnite? Shoulder bashing is a new way to bash open doors. Said to be "impolite", shoulder bashing allows players to sprint at doors and bash them open with their shoulders. In other words, you can slide into doors to open them now.
What's New In The Fortnite Battle Pass?
With the release of the new season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass, fans of the hit game will be excited to see some new additions to the game. As always, the new season brings with it a new Battle Pass, which will allow players to unlock a variety of new cosmetics as they progress.
This Season's Battle Pass includes Sorcerer Supreme and Master of the Mystic Arts, Doctor Strange, as well as characters preceding including:
- Tsuki 2.0 (unlocked immediately)
- Gunnar
- The Imagined
- Kiara K.O.
- The Origin
- Erisa
- Doctor Strange
- Prowler (unlocked later)
