Ivorian Doll (IVD) releases a new drill bop, 'Clout', on her 23rd birthday after teasing her fans with snippets on social media.
Happy Birthday Ivorian Doll
UPDATE #1: Unfortunately, Ivorian Doll's video for "Clout" was shortly taken down from YouTube for reasons unknown. In a Twitter post, the drill rapper thanked her fans for supportive messages, however, she refrained from explaining the reason for it's removal.
"Guysss the clout video ain't up right now for reasons i cbb [can't be bothered] to explain anymore .. let me just enjoy my birthday!! Thankyou for your messeges," she said.
Tanizzle has asked Ivorian Doll's manager for comment.
Updates will continue as they come. From herein, the original article will continue to be read as initially posted on December 17th 2020.
It's been a momentous year for the undisputed Queen of Drill, Ivorian Doll (IVD), who continues to defy odds in a music scene significantly dominated by males.
The UK drill rapper, whose real name is Vanessa Mahi, celebrated her 23rd birthday (on 17th December) by releasing a new bop titled, "Clout".
The video, which was dropped at midnight on YouTube, includes the stunner herself with a majority of girls in a celebratory mood.
What Is Ivorian Doll's Clout About?
Similar to her "Rumours" track but without addressing nonsense (gossip) designed to damage her name, IVD decimates "clout chasers" who seek her attention.
In most instances, clout seekers do the utter most to be acknowledged, but IVD also targeted those who jumped ship to ride her "wave", from when she blew.
"Came up with that crown, baddest b*tch that's in town, now they sayin' I'm wavey, but I know it's just for the clout," she said unreservedly.
IVD, who could be seen often twerking, was wearing a sexy black two piece outfit, entailing a sequinned bra top and batty riders (shorts).
Although the video appeared to be recorded in an apartment, a montage of clips from her past music projects, including news snippets were shown.
Ivorian Doll's Legal Troubles
The German-born beauty, whose pseudonym refers to her Ivorian heritage, recently broke down after a business partner turned foul, by attempting to obscure her career.
Oliver Ashley, the son of billionaire Sports Direct founder, Mike Ashley, allegedly turned sour after failing to turn subservient the "Body Bag" rapper.
In a petty move undeniably savage, a company directed by Oliver filed for two trademarks, in the form of monikers commonly used by the star.
If the trademark applications aren't disputed, Ivorian Doll may be forced to use anything but "Ivorian Doll" and "IVD" professionally.
Whilst IVD commits to her battle, fans (including ourselves), will continue to support her #FreeIVD.
