Hip-Hop Legend Coolio's Cause of Death Finally Revealed
Rapper Coolio, born Artis Leon Ivey Jr., died as a result of drug use, a coroner has confirmed. The musician, best known for his hit song "Gangsta's Paradise", passed away in September 2022 at the age of 59. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office revealed that Coolio had died from a fentanyl overdose.

The following year, he released his biggest hit, "Gangsta's Paradise", which was featured in the film "Dangerous Minds". The song went on to win a Grammy Award for best rap solo performance.
Throughout his career, Coolio was nominated for a total of six Grammy Awards and sold over 17 million records worldwide. He also made appearances in TV and film, including a stint on the UK reality show Celebrity Big Brother.
Coolio's manager, Jarez Posey, stated that the rapper's children plan to honor their father's legacy through future documentary and film projects.
