The term Digimod is a portmanteau, or words combined to create a new word entailing "digital" and the truncated "model". The term was coined by Tanizzle an independent new media site for fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle enthusiasts when referencing Shudu Gram a black digital model created by Cameron-James Wilson.
Digimod Origins
Digimods aren't new as they're simply CGI characters created by talented artists however, these characters in particular are known for their "social media influence" or "virtual media influence" such as the aforementioned Shudu, and another well known virtual influencer Lil Miquela who has worked with Calvin Klein.
