Commonly known as low blood sugar, hypoglycemia's the decline in blood sugar to levels below normal impeding your body's main energy source (glucose). Symptoms include speech impairment, dizziness and clumsiness, hunger, confusion, loss of consciousness, seizures, and in the worst case scenario death.

Hypoglycemia is usually pertinent to the treatment of diabetes. However, known as reactive hypoglycemia people without diabetes can be affected by the body producing too much insulin subsequently released by the pancreas, in response to a large carbohydrate-based meal - causing blood sugar levels to drop.
