The 'Bodak Yellow' artist Cardi B and 'Girls In The Hood' rapper Megan Thee Stallion drop a new video for WAP, featuring surprise cameos including Kylie Jenner.
Wow Cardi B Delivered Sexy Back!
It's been a very long minute since Cardi B, real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, released her own music considering her hiatus for nine months. But now, the "Invasion of Privacy" artist sets pulses racing with the release of her latest single WAP (Wet Ass P*ssy), featuring Megan Thee Stallion.
As the acronym suggests, the song's for the sexually tolerant, as the rappers get down and dirty whilst exchanging naughty lyrics over an Ayo n Keyz production. WAP samples the 1992 "There's Some Whores in This House" song by Frank Ski, which ultimately increases the feeling of "bedroom moods" without question.
In a nutshell, the song and video is sexy as f*ck, and contains guest cameos from female celebrities. Continuing reading and scrolling further below to watch the video that everybody is talking about.
The video, which was directed by Collin Tilley, the same visionary behind works for Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj, serves alluring aesthetics with it's artistic direction. The duo are seen in an enchanting mansion with endless doors, reminding us of "Alice In Wonderland" with it's sweet, but adult "enticing" appeal.
Sexy from the jump, the video briefly shows a lavish mansion's exterior, featuring floral arches, beautiful cobblestones, and a fountain of two naked women with an interesting water feature. The camera then pans towards stairs flooded by water, leading to the mansion's entrance, a pair of big white doors.
Cardi, who doesn't hold back from considering herself a "certified freak" in the opening lyrics, can be seen strolling through a wonky hallway in a plunging cheffon leotard outfit, with arm-length gloves that included extremely stretched, and blinged up nails.
The "Hot Girl Summer" rapper, also known as Hot Girl Meg, wore a matching outfit in an opposite colour, creamy yellow. Both girls had there makeup on fleek, with eyeshadow coordinating with their attire, and vintage retro inspired hairstyles.
For those who suffer from ophidiophobia, or in simple terms fear snakes, the WAP video shouldn't be recommended to them for the better. Exotic snakes are seen slithering around the beauties whilst they laid head-to-head in sand, slowing caressing each other's arms, before Megan licks Cardi's nose.
In a highly provocative display of dancing, the girls are then seen in a green and purple room where they continued to "up the heat". As gears are seen turning in background, the girls grind and twerk intensely manoeuvring their bodies. Cardi rocks a two-toned wig, mesh unitard, with Megan wearing the opposite in purple.
At roughly the one-minute and forty-second mark, the video abruptly shifts into the first cameo featuring the beauty and cosmetics mogul, Kylie Jenner. The reality TV queen is seen majestically striding along a hallway, with big cats staring at her in doorways, and is wearing long raven hair, diamond earrings, and a leopard print plunging dress.
Kylie later posted behind the scenes photos to her Instagram, which featured Cardi B and her mother Kris Jenner. Kris can be seen sneakily taking a picture in the background - scroll below.
Among Kylie Jenner, additional female guests made appearances including the "B*tch From Da Souf" rapper Mulatto, Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía, "Motivation" songstress Normani; social media personality and rapper Sukihana, and the "Hit Yo Dance" bombshell with the perfect voice Rubi Rose.
In other news, it seems so fitting that she cameos in the video, but then again she's a baddie herself. Relating to the beautiful Rubi Rose, check out her song and video for "Pretty MF", which serves very sexy looks, and stars the rapper and YouTuber DDG.
Cardi B's W.A.P video Ft Megan Thee Stallion
With all honesty and what we truly admire about this release, is the sisterhood shown and heard in this video. Before anything relating to the idea of "role models" is thrown at us, yes the video and the song's contents are provocative, but it's still a good look for female rappers who are usually pitted against each other.
We're so praying for this combination to happen, but can you imagine a bop from Britain's very own boss ladies Ivorian Doll and Stefflon Don? For us listeners, let's encourage more collaborations from female artists, because the ladies are winning right now. Enjoy the video below.
