The "Godfather of Grime" Wiley who recently unleashed a stream of antisemitic rants on social media, apologises in a Sky News interview and later denounces them.
Wiley's Sky News Response Video
The 41-year-old "Godfather of Grime" Wiley, denounces the Sky News interview that made the British "Boasty" artist look "mad," whilst apologising for abusing the Jewish community via social media.
Wiley, who single-handedly prompted the boycott of Twitter for 48 hours by Jews and it's allies, including prominent VIPs and celebrities under the hashtag #NoSafeSpaceForJewHate, suggested that the broadcaster deceived him.
The "Heatwave" artist's argument comes after he was deemed antisemitic for likening Jewish people to the KKK, and a further stream of hatred towards them. As a consequence, he was condemned and permanently banned from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
In the 53 second video clip titled "They always do this....Old trick," and posted to the official Wiley YouTube channel, Wiley explained his issues concerning the editing and direction of clips. "Obviously, Noel, Sky News we know this trick already," Wiley began.
"You spoke to me for 45 minutes, you spoke to me for extra on and off camera. You've just put together four minutes to make me look mad.
"The bits where me and Noel should've been talking, not even the [INAUDIBLE]. So, and I told Noel this when you sent him, I said Noel I know, I know who you work for, so it's alright.
"But, you said you wouldn't do this Noel, you did say, and I said mate, it's alright you do, because I know who you work for before you get there, you get me?"
Wiley then went on to say that Noel "bredded them." The term "bredding" in most terms means copied, however in an alternative form, it's very similar to being up somebody's a*s.
He added: "but Noel, mate, you can't talk to me now, how can you talk me, you see what I'm saying? You bredding them and now you can't talk to me ever again."
Earlier, sitting down with Sky New's Noel Philips, Wiley insisted that he wasn't "racist", and apologised for "generalising" the Jewish community. The rapper said: "My comments should not have been directed to all Jews or Jewish people.
"I want to apologise for generalising, and I want to apologise for comments that were looked at as anti-Semitic. I just want to apologise for generalising and going outside of the people who I was talking to within the workspace and workplace I work in,"
He added: "I'm not racist, you know. I'm a businessman. My thing should have stayed between me and my manager, I get that."
To be honest, we don't think that Noel Philips cares Wiley, and neither should he. Unfortunately, you made your bed and as a result lost respect from the vast amount of the industry, and sadly those who looked up to you. What a way to tarnish your legacy.
