A US government website managed by the American Federal Depository Library Programme, has been hacked and defaced by the hacker group known as Iran Cyber Security Group.
The Hack
A group calling themselves the Iran Cyber Security Group have hacked, and defaced the FDLP - American Federal Depository Library Programme website. This comes hours after the American officials announced possible cyber-attacks after the assassination of the high ranking Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani by targeted missiles. The website has since been taken down stating a "Error 520", and there's no clear indication that the hack was conducted by the country of Iran.
Defaced How?
Users were met with a black screen depicting the President of the United States Donald Trump, bloody at the mouth after receiving a punch to the face. The image was accompanied with a message warning the hack was only a "small part" of Iran's cyber ability, and "we will not stop supporting our friends in the regions, the oppressed people of Palestine, the oppressed people of Yemen, the people, and the Syrian government, the people and government of Iraq, the oppressed people of Bahrain, the true mujahideen resistance in Lebanon and Palestine" - [sic].
