Megan Thee Stallion has been named as a 'victim' in an incident that lead to the arrest of Tory Lanez, for gun charges after an altercation in California.
Tory Lanez Charged With Felony
The Canadian musician Tory Lanez has been arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in his vehicle, following an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning, 12 July, in the Hollywood Hills.
According to none other than TMZ, the "Say It" artist Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was arrested after police were called to an altercation outside residence which had been hosting a private party.
TMZ understood that police received a call of a disturbance around 0430hrs, for which witnesses reported shots being fired by people arguing in a sport utility vehicle (SUV). With a description, the Police shortly located the SUV after it left the scene. The SUV entailed Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion as the passenger, and an unnamed woman.
The police discovered a gun after searching the SUV and Lanez was subsequently arrested for the felony offence. TMZ reports that the "Girls In The Hood" and "Savage" rapper Megan was later listed as a "victim" in police reports, after she cut her foot on glass in the SUV.
Lanez was apprehended by police at 0440hrs and released at 1005hrs the same Sunday morning, after posting a $35,000 bail bond. According to the jail records we found by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lanez will appear in a LA court on 13 October.
Interestingly, Lanez was seen partying along with Megan and Kylie Jenner in what appeared to be a pool party late Saturday, at the beauty cosmetics Holmby Hills mansion - Instagram post below.
Tory Lanez's Past Controversies
This isn't the first time that Tory Lanez has had an encounter with the police. In 2016 during a concert in Midland, Texas, the rapper allegedly incited a full-on riot by encouraging the crowd to "f**k shit up," consequently forcing police to shut it down.
Although multiple arrests were made by police, Tory wasn't, however this didn't stop the concert promoters from pursuing legal actions against him.
In other news, we wondered why the "Tap In" rapper Saweetie receives so much negativity. For somebody remarkably quite opposed to other rap artists, the "Icy Grl" seems to be scrutinised heavily for her material.
Now this one might take you by surprise as it did us, but have you ever heard of the Albanian rapper Tayna who's making a name for herself as an European Reggaeton artist?
