Multi-millionaires, Andrew Tate and Tristan have been released from custody and placed under house arrest by a Romanian judge while being investigated for serious allegations.
Andrew Tate and Tristan: Released from the Matrix?
Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate, 36, and his younger brother Tristan, 34, have been moved from custody to house arrest by a Romanian judge. The ruling replaces the latest period of custody and is effective immediately, allowing the brothers to stay in the buildings where they live, provided they have judicial permission to leave.
The brothers have been detained since December (2022) and are being investigated on allegations of rape, people trafficking and forming an organised crime group. They have denied any wrongdoing, and lawyers for Andrew Tate have argued that keeping him in preventative custody is unnecessarily "harsh", when other judicial options such as house arrest are available.
What Happened To Andrew Tate and Tristan?
The case has attracted significant attention due to the serious allegations made against the brothers and their associates. Leaked court documents outline testimony from alleged victims claiming to be forced to earn €10,000 (£8,793) a month on social media platforms, under the alleged threat of physical violence.
Court papers also described debts being used as "a form of psychological coercion". Since investigations began last April, six women have been identified by prosecutors as victims. However, no charges have yet been brought against the brothers or their Romanian associates. The case against the Tate brothers and their associates is ongoing.
"Welcome Home brothers," popular streamer Adin Ross said on Twitter, continuing: "it must be a coincidence you guys get out on the release date of the matrix". On that note, Adin Ross, who is a big supporter of the Tate brothers was recently sampled on a EDM dance bop. Have you heard it?
The Tate Brothers, Who Are They?
Andrew Tate (also known as Top G), a British-American former kickboxer, gained notoriety online by promoting what he presented as a hyper-masculine, ultra-luxurious lifestyle. He has been banned from social media platforms, including Twitter (but has now been reinstated), for making controversial statements about women.
Tristan Tate, is the younger brother of Andrew Tate by two years and has followed in his brother's footsteps by starting off as a kickboxer. Growing up in Luton, he learned kickboxing at Storm Gym under coach Amir Subasic and went on to become a four-time ISKA kickboxing champion. Despite the brothers troubles, they've still gained popularity, especially among young men.
