However, his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, has now claimed that the woman (his alleged girlfriend) who accused him of assault has recanted her allegations in writing (according to Los Angeles Times).
According Chaudhry, her team has obtained "two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations." This news comes after Majors' arrest on Saturday, which caused a stir among fans and the entertainment industry - including speculation of Disney replacing Majors with another actor in upcoming Marvel films, in addition to losing a multi-million dollar sponsorship campaign with the US Army.

Jonathan Majors, 33, the star of "Creed III", "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", and the upcoming film "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in New York City. According to TMZ, Majors was taken into custody on Saturday morning on charges of "strangulation, assault, and harassment".
However, his representative has since denied the allegations, stating that the actor has "done nothing wrong" and that they look forward to "clearing his name and clearing this up." The alleged victim, who hasn't been named, claimed that Majors got into an argument with her and proceeded to "attack her." TMZ sources consider the female to be his girlfriend.
A source who spoke with TMZ stated that the alleged victim had visible injuries on her body, including a "laceration behind her ear, redness, and marks to her face". Following the assault, she was reportedly taken to a local hospital and is apparently in stable condition. The police were said to have called to the scene around 11 AM, near the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

Jonathan Michael Majors, the actor known for his roles in "Lovecraft Country" and "The Last Black Man in San Francisco", has been accused of assaulting his girlfriend while in a taxi on their way home from a bar in Brooklyn. As per TMZ, Majors' girlfriend allegedly caught him lacking whilst texting another woman and confronted him, trying to take a peek at his phone.
This reportedly angered Majors, who allegedly grabbed her hand and slapped her. The alleged victim (his girlfriend) also claims that Majors put his hands around her neck during the altercation. The woman was dropped off somewhere after the incident, and Majors reportedly spent the night elsewhere. She went to the police the following morning and reported the alleged assault.
They (the police) reportedly felt there was enough evidence for probable cause, leading to Majors' immediate arrest. The Santa Barbara-born entertainer has since been released from custody. The incident remains under investigation, and further details have yet to be released.
