Some may doubt it but others won't, irrespective Lil Wayne believes he should be number one on Billboard's Greatest Rappers List after coming seventh; with Jay Z taking the crown.
Is Lil Wayne The Greatest Rapper of all Time (GOAT)?
To most people he's known as Lil Wayne, but to others he's quite simple known as the GOAT ("greatest of all time"); but this doesn't include Billboard and VIBE who recently ranked the Young Money genius at seventh on their Greatest Rapper's List, causing divisions on social media between fellow artists and fans alike.
Considering listeners weren't already impressed with the list dedicated to hip-hop's finest, it was only a moment in time for the 40-year-old rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive, also known as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., to chime in and express himself making clear that, "everybody whose names you named, they also know I'm number one".
Lil Wayne: Who The Hell is Before Me?
In a recent interview with Apple Music 1's, Zane Lowe, Lil Wayne didn't hold back from asserting himself the "motherf*cking one", saying: "Man, who the hell is before me? Was the list including all hip-hop, like before and after as well?" he questioned. "I can deal with that. I will tell you that I am a motherf*cking one. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I'm number one. Go ask 'em. They know what it is," he said.
If you don't mind us saying, Billboard x Vibe's Greatest Rappers List contains all the right lyricists especially concerning it's top-10. If the Queen of Rap wasn't among them, of course being Her Majesty Nicki Minaj, we'd probably make a bigger fuss about it but we can't, LMAO! From tenth-to-first, the Greatest Rappers list goes like: Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Lil Wayne, The Notorious B.I.G, Eminem, Tupac, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay-Z.
Lil Wayne Drops "Kant Nobody" featuring DMX
Even with debates concerning the greatest rapper of all time, and perhaps a reminder of what he's known for, nothing can stop Lil Wayne from releasing music. The "Mona Lisa" rapper dropped a new track titled "Kant Nobody" featuring DMX; testament of his hard-earned recognition as one of the GOATs: "All I need is a beat with a DMX sample."
Enlisting Swizz Beatz on the production, in addition to Avenue, "Kant Nobody" features a sample from the ruffest of "Ruff Ryders", DMX, also known as Earl Simmons - who tragically passed away in 2021 after enduring a heart attack. The track, which lasts for three-minutes, starts with DMX speaking an array of wisdom followed by his sample throughout.
Although fans have been expecting Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated album, "Tha Carter VI", speculative interest hasn't stopped them from believing that "Kant Nobody" will feature, even without the lyricist stressing it himself. "I can't believe we're at Carter 6. My fans know I give my all. Go listen to my last feature and know it's gonna be a thousand times better than that," he said to Zane Lowe (on Apple Music 1).

What Did Drake Say Again?
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Drake once said whilst promoting CLB (Certified Loverboy): "HEY TORONTO, THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE SIGNED ME IN 2009 AND IS ON CLB". We just thought you should know... know the levels!
