We can't be beat around the bush and pretend that we've watched the last few seasons vigorously, but this year's Love Island 2023 is a must watch with its new host: Maya Jama.
When Is ITV's Love Island 2023?
ITV2's Love Island 2023 starts on January 16th at 9pm (on ITV2 and ITVX) and we can't wait. But it's not for the usual antics presented on the show including hook-ups, betrayal, and embarrassing moments, it's for the one and only, magnificent; perfectly sculpted by the heavens, Maya Jama.
On a serious note, we already know that many think we're undisciplined simps, but too bad, we're nonchalantly numb when it relates to Maya (so we absolutely don't care), but there's a lot more to why we're giving the show a shot: we haven't given it a chance for a few years. Self-explanatory, much!
Love Island in South Africa
With record-breaking viewing figures amassing over 269 million streams on ITV Hub, we're not going to be surprised to learn of a ridiculous number of views than series 8's results, as the show's "love motivator" (Maya), encourages contestants and viewers at home alike to "grab love by the horns" in South Africa.
But until then, can we keep speaking of the wonderful Maya, because, my Lord? Seriously, enough of the "simpery" as we don't want to be reminded of the time she called us "fake.news" in Instagram comments (see it here), for getting her casual friendship with Italian fashion designer, Riccardo Tisci, very, very, damn wrong LOL!
On that note, don't let this distract you from the fact that we always had a feeling that she'd host Love Island, and almost wished for it 3-years ago. Follow Love Island on their social media for the latest updates, and don't forget to tune into ITV2 (or ITVX) on January 16th at 9pm to witness grabbing "love by the horns".
