Irina Shayk expresses her views on relationships, and gender in the March issue of Vogue including her difficulties as a single mother.
I'm Falling Apart
The Russian beauty Irina Shayk (34), and mom of two-year-old Lea De Seine Cooper admits her struggles as a single mother, and provider in the latest issue of British Vogue - the March issue's available on 31-01-20.
Irina who co-parents with Bradley Cooper (45) said "It's hard to find a balance between being a single mum and being a working woman and provider. Trust me, there are days I wake up and I'm like, 'Oh my god, I don't know what to do, I'm falling apart.'".
She revealed that "life without B is new ground", and feels as though she's falling apart due to her work commitments and parenting "being a working woman and provider". They pair dated for four years until they split in June 2019, for which Irina remains single prioritising her daughter.
It's currently not clear whether Bradley's in a relationship although there were rumours pertinent to Lady Gaga. The Mother Monster revealed to The Mother of Chat Shows Oprah Winfrey, that there wasn't anything between them, and this comes after fan speculation due to their on-screen affections in the movie "Star Is Born".
Fans became suspicious after Bradley split with Irina in summer 2019, and Gaga followed suite splitting with her fiancé. Telling Oprah during her "Your Life in Focus Tour", Gaga said "We did a really good job at fooling everyone,", she continued with "We created that,".
Bradley who recently won a Grammy Award for "best pop duo for performance" is set to perform "Shallow" at the Oscars with his co-star Gaga. The song's nominated for "original song" so you'll likely see a "piano moment" further fuelling speculations, but don't hold your breath if you think that romance will bloom.
Born In The Wrong Body
After losing her father at the young age of 14, Irina began to think she was born in the wrong body. When asked by Vogue when, and why that was she said "14. When my father passed away, I thought, 'Since I'm a guy, now it's my time to take care of the family.' I said to myself I would never get married,".
She was convinced that she had to fill her father shoes, and become the "man of the household". She also said that her father "always wanted a boy", but she later outgrew her teenage confusions saying "Of course, later on in life I outgrew that, and I love being a woman. But I remember that feeling.".
Irina's A Strong Woman
Regardless of her difficulties Irina seems to remain strong, and we definitely support her. She clearly admitted that finding "balance" as a single parent's difficult, but yet she provides. Let's leave her words to all those who find it difficult raising children, with the hope that it empowers them.
"Women are the ones who can handle everything. Women can raise the kids, women can do the job, and when she's back, she can cook and clean and do the heavy work too!" - Irina Shayk.
