The 'Montero (Call Me by Your Name)' rapper, Lil Nas X, has taken his marketing efforts to a whole new level, after releasing a court room parody in the name of, 'Nike Vs Lil Nas X'.
What A Genius: Lil Nas X Trolls Nike!
Let's not beat around the bush and pretend that, Lil Nas X, 22, isn't a marketing genius. The "Old Town Road" rapper just dropped a court case parody video that featured the star portraying multiple acting roles including a judge, both lawyers, and a defendant; as they sat to debate his IRL (in real life) circumstances with the sports giant, Nike.
Amazingly unexpected, the artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, could be seen unapologetically scrutinising himself (of course with fun) in the "Nike vs Lil Nas X" Supreme Court room appointment, which heard multiple references of his sexuality been used against him.
When Is Industry Lil Nas X's Baby Released?
Lil Nas X's "Industry Baby" featuring Jack Harlow is due for release on July 23rd. The track, which sounds absolutely brilliant was produced by, Take A Day Trip, and the outstanding visionary and "genius" in his own right - definitely a musical phenomenon to us - Kanye West.
In the opening clips, the judge (Lil Nas X) could be seen speaking to a female via a video call (possibly his "sugar baby"), stressing how bored he was: "I'm doing this little court case for Nike and a little gay n***a," the judge said, before proceeding with the case, for which he showed lack of interest.
Legal representatives on both sides then began to open their cases, but instead of focusing on the Nike issues regarding Lil Nas X's highly controversial, "Satan Shoes", the opposing lawyer solely focused on his sexuality; whilst his own seemed clueless, even forgetting his client's name.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury. This is about much more than shoes. Mr Nas X, are you gay?" the opposing lawyer said before Lil Nas X, who was seen wearing the traditional U.S penitentiary system's orange jumpsuit, said:
"What does this have to do with the shoes?"
