GTA 6 fans have been thrown into a distressful frenzy after a credible leaker announced that the forthcoming release from Rockstar Games has been pushed back until 2025.
When Is GTA 6 Released?
Sorry, but it's "allegedly" not coming soon. Unfortunately, fans waiting for Rockstar Games' most highly-anticipated gaming release, Grand Theft Auto (GTA6), will reportedly have to wait until 2025 for a chance to play it, with rumour information coming from a reputed leaker.
According to the "before-it-happens" informer, Tom Henderson, who has an impressive track record of leaks entailing Battlefield 2042 and Call Duty, has announced in a video that GTA6 will not be set in the 1980s as some rumours have suggested, but in the modern day settings of Vice City.
Although he had little information on how it would be accomplished, Henderson claimed that the map could potentially evolve similarly to Epic Games' Fortnite, with adjustments made every few months - if we're to wait for that long, the map better be a replica of the United States.
With almost eight years of waiting, it's been said that it's developer, Rockstar, wants to avoid crunch and prevent it's employees from feeling burdened, as it was once reported that they face poor working conditions.
There is another possible pushback to consider relating to the shortages of new-gen consoles currently in circulation. Believed to be released on current gen-only consoles like Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, as well as PC, Rockstar is reportedly waiting for more platforms to be sold in order to maximise from sales.
