Maybach Music kingpin, Rick Ross, collaborated with Cruel Youth for the second seasonal release of gangster drama, Godfather of Harlem.
Godfather of Harlem: No Bark When I Bite
How could we not be smitten after hearing Teddy Sinclair, 34, perform her magic on Rick Ross's, "No Bark When I Bite", a hip hop soundtrack enlisted for the second season of "Godfather of Harlem".
Now in full swing, Epix's "Godfather of Harlem" features the "Last King of Scotland" actor, Forest Whitaker, 59, who portrays the dark life of the American drug trafficker, Ellsworth Raymond "Bumpy" Johnson (deceased).
Did Teddy Sinclair Get You Excited?
To the joy of many fans (of course us!), Cruel Youth lead singer, Sinclair, who is also known as Natalia Kills, delivered a spectacular performance on the beat produced by Swizz, Avenue Beatz, and Musicman Ty.
On the instrumental, for which's perfectly fitting for Ross, 45, Sinclair could be heard harmoniously applying "oohs" to the opening seconds of the track, to later sing:
"These streets try to eat you alive / Like a beast in the night, no bark when I bite / These cheats try to sell me what's mine / No smoke when I fire, no bark when I bite."
The "B.M.F" rapper, Ross, then peppers (with lyrics, makes the beat hot) the piano laden bop, with also features an old-skool rhythmic bassline, and organ playing.
"Millionaire is the move, Cadillac is the moment / Tailor makin' the suit, know they tappin' you phonies / Got me watchin' my homies, sittin' low in the Lotus / Whitney Houston tonight, bathin' tub in the morning," Ross rapped.
Songs Written by Teddy Sinclair, Natalia Kills
Not too long ago, with so much excitement, we wrote an article about songs written by Teddy Sinclair, after the streaming platform Spotify, acknlowedged her artistic efforts by listing her song credits.
According to the Spotify playlist, Sinclair has now participated in four songs featured on the Godfather of Harlem soundtrack, including, "Business is Business" featuring Dave East and A$AP Ferg, "Everything's for Sale" featuring Belly, G Herbo, and Wale; and "Black River" which has Cruel Youth credit.
Still Waiting in the Benz!
Meanwhile, we're still "Waiting in the Benz" for Cruel Youth to release, you guessed it, "Waiting in the Benz", a song that was teased in the form of a snippet last year, that hasn't shown up.
On the bright side, we're absolutely appreciative for hearing the "Mr. Watson" singer lay her beautiful voice on the hip hop piece, that we believe, will inevitably give Cruel Youth the demand and attention they deserve - they're so dope!
