After exposing Tory Lanez as the culprit responsible for shooting her feet, Megan Thee Stallion received backlash from critics, with some labelling her a snitch.
Megan Thee Stallion Is A Victim
We're struggling with the idea of critics dragging Megan Thee Stallion, after the "Girls In The Hood" rapper revealed in an Instagram (IG) live stream that Tory Lanez shot her. Earlier in July, police were called to an altercation in the Hollywood Hills area concerning gun fire. Sometime later, both Megan and Lanez were arrested, however, Megan was released without further action whilst the "Who Needs Love" singer Lanez was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Megan, who initially claimed to suffer from minor injuries caused by broken glass, later revealed that she was shot in the July 12th incident. Rumours began to circulate online that Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, may have been the shooter, but the claims were later dismissed by representatives.
After facing increasing criticism, trolling, and misinformation supposedly spread by Lanez' publicist, Megan felt compelled to share her experiences publicly by definitively stating that Tory was indeed her shooter. In the IG stream that surprisingly divided it's viewers on August 20th, Megan said, "Yes, this n***a Tory shot me. You shot me."
Her detailed confessions came after the "Savage" rapper posted a somewhat cryptic message on Twitter saying, "Lie one more time and ima quit sparing you." Perhaps someone pushed her buttons thereafter, as she didn't refrain from spilling the tea on the 5-foot, 3-inches "LUV" singer.
"And you got your publicist and your people, going to these blogs, lying and sh*t. Stop Lying," she said in the stream. Megan also went on to ask "why lie?" as she failed to understand why Lanez' representatives were "dragging" stories to fit their narrative, as she covered for them, amid the burden of scrutiny and endless mockery.
"Why lie? I don't understand. I tried to keep the situation off the internet, but you dragging it. You really f**king dragging it," she added.
The Houston native admitted that she should have told the police about the incident in the beginning and stressed "fear" during her arrest. In light of the recent police brutality of unarmed African-Americans, Megan was afraid of becoming a victim herself as a consequence of being in the presence of a firearm; thus refusing to say.
She said the LAPD behaved "aggressive," and when being assessed for her injuries at the hospital, a female police officer continued to intimidate her. "You think I'm about to tell the police that we, n***as, us black people got a gun in the car?" she asked defensively before saying, "so they can shoot all of us up."
Megan then began to shut down any allegations of assaulting Lanez and rumours suggesting "jealousy" concerning the beauty mogul Kylie Jenner, for whom they partied with prior the incident. The 25-year-old, who dazzled many with her feature on Cardi B's "WAP", insists that Lanez shot her for "no reason."
Although no charges were filed against Lanez considering the lack of cooperation with LAPD investigators initially, according to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is reviewing possible assault charges against him, amid her recent disclosure.
It's now very possible that Lanez will face additional charges after prosecutors asked the LAPD to investigate further. TMZ sources claimed that LAPD detectives opened an investigation pertinent to Lanez in July, for shooting Megan as she exited the SUV entailing 4 occupants - including Megan, Lanez, a bodyguard, and an unidentified female.
Is Megan Thee Stallion A Snitch? Megan Thee Stallion is nothing equatable to Tekashi 69 (6ix9ine), real name Daniel Hernandez. She's not affiliated and doesn't owe herself to a gang, let alone a singer who used a deadly weapon on a unarmed person, behaving like some trigger happy police officer.
If her account rings true, for which we have no reason to doubt, Megan was a victim coerced into submission due to loyalty, loyalty for a man who didn't care about her well being at the time. As with Halle Berry, JoJo, Kehlani, and more, Tanizzle applauds Megan Thee Stallion for her courage and supports all the way.
